Adult Cats Needing Homes

OUR RETIRED ADULT CATS ARE SOMETIMES AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION TO APPROVED HOMES

Any adult cats I am rehoming are only available to approved homes on the condition that their new families keep in touch throughout the cat's lifetime and contact me if there are any concerns or if for any reason the cat needs rehoming, we will help to find appropriate homes for any of our cats that for one reason or another cannot remain with their families. Not only are all of our cats very loved family members, their ongoing health is of vital concern. I do my best to track the ongoing health of all of my cats through both contact with their new families and my annual health review form which I ask all cat and kitten owners to complete and return, preferably every year. Most of the cats I will post on this page will be retired breeding cats. My stud cats deserve loving homes and a warm bed at night when they retire. We already have our retired boy Yammy Paw, and he would be very loathe to accept a second retired boy on his patch! Retiring females often find life with everyone else having kittens and not them too much to bear and crave a more stable, less competitive environment. Most cats will adjust well to a secure and loving pet home. Life in a home where there are breeding cats, is perpetually changing, personalities change with each change of circumstances. The hierarchy is being frequently challenged. None of these stresses exist in a one or two cat home. With the exception of lions, cats in the wild choose not to live in large groups, with our breeding for health program, we continue to be forced to live with higher cat numbers than is ideal for either us or the cats. Given that my cats are my passion, and I want to see each of them reach their amazing potential, I am often forced to rehome cats I would give anything to share our home with.

I will also post news on any of my Devon Rex cats in pet homes who for whatever reason are unable to stay with their families, more often than not a quick email to all of my wonderful kitten owners and those people patiently waiting for a Devon Rex on my waiting list finds these family swapping cats a home before they even find their way onto my website.

Because all of our cats are loved pets, they are secure and able to adjust beautifully. The cats we have sadly had to rehome, have brought great joy to their new families. Although we miss them, we know in each case they are happier in their new homes than they could be with us. Of course we are here to help with the transition and any problem that may arise.

BORN SEPTEMBER 24TH 2010
Wisecracks Ari Osso aka Scruffy Nuts needs a home with a dog and people to love. Scruffy has a long list of people wanting to adopt her. Scruffy Nuts has been mated several time but has not blessed us with kittens, if she has not managed to break her kitten draught she will be looking for a home with people thick skinned enough to tolerate the constant insults about how odd she looks. Scruffy needs a dog, she loves dogs! Scruffy is a lovely girl, she has the most amazing big blue eyes and lovely tabby markings, she will be a wonderful companion to a lucky family. Scruffy needs regular baths as she really does the Devon Tar with style.

Wisecracks Asarina Retiring

BORN FEBRUARY 24TH 2008
Wisecracks Asarina a busy cat on a mission needs a fun family.
Asarina is the result of many years of hard work and three outcrosses. Sadly she has lost a litter at only 4 weeks pregnant and struggled, my concern is how she would cope with a full term litter. Some research indicates a premature litter can be harder to birth. Regardless Asarina will either have one litter or none and will be looking for a home wanting an athletic, fun loving cat, who is passionate but likes to call the shots. Asarina has grown a gorgeous wavy coat, she will have a litter this season and then take over a new human family

Please contact us if you are interested in Asarina
