**Visiting Our Devon Rex Cats and Their Families and Watching Hockey**
We left Tauranga at 230 am on Wednesday!
	We have just followed our daughter Jessica to Wellington for her hockey tournament. We had the added pleasure of meeting many of our kitten owners while we were there, as well as staying with lovely friends we have met through the cats. Sadly we missed catching up with Francee and Malinky, which we were really looking forward to. We had a lovely visit with Nikki and Merlot her dog and her four cats, but sadly her darling Devon boy Leroy had not come home. Thought it would be nice to keep a record of our visit on my web site, it was such a pleasure!
Enneads Hocus Pocus aka Okey	We had the joy of visiting Ginny, my friend and mentor and breeder of my foundation cats, we had a lovely meal, admired her amazing drawings and paintings and showed her a slide show of many of our cats. We also got to kiss Enneads Hocus Pocus (aka Okey) now an elderly desexed boy living in the lap of luxury and Enneads Elle Mac Furrperson and her daughter Soxainte Nuff. We shared a meal and a lovely evening.


Xerxes	Candra	Osiris	Pixie Jinx	Zeus

After the Wednesday morning game we headed out to visit Heather and her family, which includes 5 of our Devons, Xerxes,
son of Arabella and Marvin, Candra daughter of Val Crow and Ripply, Osiris son of Kaya and Ripply, Zeus son of Spiedher and
Zooka, and PixieJinx daughter of Polly Ester and Elvis. We had a lovely catch up and I got to see the girls who visited when they
picked up their first cat, which was an added pleasure. Holly even made us a card and picked me a flower. Bryttni was charming
and witty and both girls are prolific readers so we explored some very fun books, I really loved room on the broom!

Minky Wisecracks Curling Cupid Black Smoke Devon Rex Cat
Ali After the afternoon game on Wednesday (which the girls just lost, We popped in to meet Tina and her boys Ali a Kaya x Ripply boy and Minky aka Turtle a Polly Ester x Ripply boy. I was close to tears when Turtle ran out big and chunky and handsome as we drove up. He was my little flat chested kitten with a dreadful heart murmur, who was not meant to live, he is almost 2 years old. Tina was just back from overseas but made the time to see us.

Wisecracks Blizz Zard aka Louie Louie Wisecracks Vulcan Iced Rubba Seal Smoke Mink Bicolour Devon Rex Cat Cyril The following morning we visited Kylie and her boys. Poor Kylie had an agonizing back ache with a slipped disc and still made the effort to see us and show off her boys, Cyril a Rubber Chicken x Crinkle baby and Blizz Zard a Spiedher x Thor boy. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Kylie's sister who is waiting anxiously for her own curly baby! We headed off to watch another defeat, again by one stroke in a play off.

Wisecracks He Lium Red Smoke Mink Devon Rex Cat Larry After the game we headed out to visit Justine and Larry nee He Lium son of Twister and Oscar, we had a coffee and a good chat and lots of laughs. It was a reality check for me, with the labyrinth of paths to the house but Gordon is an X Wellingtonian so was unfazed, great deterrent for burglars, if nothing else! The view was amazing and well worth the trek in!

Timothy Tatter Trousers We caught up with family and friends briefly in the afternoon and had tea with Gordon's niece, which was lovely. The following morning we got up and went to the final game which was gutting, nil all until the last minute and the other team scored. We drowned our miseries by meeting Jeanette and her darling Timothy Tatter Trousers, son of Val Crow and Crinkle and full sibling of Mac Ram A our stud boy and his ragdoll sibling. We got lost on our way there and leaving and missed meeting Francee and Malinky which was so disappointing!, especially after Francee even drove home from work to meet us!

Wisecracks Miss Que Black Smoke Devon Rex Cat Tara Feeling a little crest fallen having missed Francee we made contact with Cait who was in the middle of shifting house, so we popped in very briefly to meet Cait and see Tara, who is the daughter of Lil Swinga and Oscar. We carried on to Greytown to catch up with Nikki which was lovely but sad knowing Leroy was not there. We had a lovely visit having already met and suffered the loss of my dear Vinny( a very special soul Nikki was going to adopt now immortalized on my triumphs and tragedies page) we could pick up where we left off. Nikki was a tower of strength when I was nursing Vinny.


Bruza	Tara Tara Super Star	Lucy

We left late and headed to Napier arriving late but greeted by friends who made us welcome and pampered us with wonderful
company, chilled wine, divine food, and a house smothered in cats, it was the ultimate! Sam and Raine lost Twitch whose eulogy
is on my web site, they still have Bruza her litter mate and daughter of Spiedher and Oscar and two Rubber Chicken babies
Tyra Tyra Super Star and Lucy. They also have Weazel a very elderly cat who has accepted the intruders with grace
and good will.

Oscar	The following day I spent relaxing with Sam and Raine while Gordon visited family and we then headed home, stopping briefly to meet Tiffany and Sharron their human son Kitt and their boys Don Qui and Oscar a Polly Ester x Elvis baby. He is a huge boy, we got to check out the tee shirt printing machinery and put faces to names which is always lovely.
Woogle	We left and dropped in to see our lovely Labradoodle's brother Woogle, son of our darling Roxie. He is adored, and we know he went to the best ever family, they think he is the bees knees! We arrived home weak and weary well after midnight, by the time we had said hello to everyone etc we got to bed about 230, so still recovering!
