As animal lovers we
know only too well how difficult it is to find somewhere secure, where
your pets will be loved and understood and kept safe, if for any reason
you can not take them with you. We have owned most varieties of pets over
the years. Our dogs do not go to boarding kennels, we take them camping
and are basically tied down with our busy household, so we take shifts
if we do need to be away.
We therefore have
found ourselves discussing the fact that there is nowhere we would be happy
to send our dogs, if we were to leave them. This has inspired us to offer
boarding to preferably small dogs who are cat friendly, we would consider
larger dogs if they were very well behaved. Any boarding dogs must be sociable
with other animals, vaccinated and bring their meals, favourite bed and
toys and any medication with them.
Our boarders will
be given all of their home comforts, being able to come and go through
the cat door, totally safe from traffic and other hazards, such as loneliness!! |

Sadly I am unable
to board cats, although they are obviously a great love of mine, but firstly
I can not risk introducing any infections to my breeding cats. secondly
cats are not communal dwellers and would not be at all happy in our busy
home as mere visitors.
As for birds, again
they will have loads of stimulation, my cats ignore birds except outside
on the lawn, they live with a few marauding avians and have learned respect.
We are happy to board
other pets, having lived with Rats, Mice, Guinea Pigs, Geckos, large and
small dogs, more than a dozen cats, a Ring Neck Parrot and a Rainbow Lorikeet
we are equipped to give most pets a go, what we don't know we will ask. |

To discuss your pets
needs and special little ways, free to either email using the link on my
home page or give us a call on 07 5420462.
Room at the Inn is
limited so it would pay to book ahead, if you are that organized!
We will be happy to
send you daily email updates on your pets stay while you are away.

We have just had our
first boarders. We enjoyed having Alex and Basil for two weeks, they fit
into our household beautifully, and I think went home very happy campers!
Alex is a beautiful Alexandrine, and his dog Basil is the same cross breed
as Gizmo, a Chihuahua x Pomeranian. Gizmo was a great host and after a
few unwanted advances, he realized Basil was not Basilla, and welcomed
him platonically into his home. Our young cat Anne Dante got up on Alec's
perch and played tug of war with his chicken bones, but all in good fun.
Although our home is busy, it felt relatively quiet when alex left, he
is a chatter box, and great company, do hope he does not add large dog
barking to his dog impersonations, however it could be a good security
ploy!
