Adult Wisecracks Devon Rex Cats For Adoption

Our Retired Adult Cats Are Sometimes Available For Adoption To Approved Homes

Any adult cats I have posted will be available to approved homes, and only on the condition that their new family is willing to keep in ongoing contact. We offer to find appropriate homes for any of our cats that for one reason or another can not remain with their families. Secondly cats may be retired breeding cats. The desexed boys deserve loving homes, and a warm bed at night when they retire. However, we already have our retired boy Yammy Paw, and he would be very loathe to accept a second retired boy on his patch! There are too many fond memories and smells and they do not settle to a pet life style. Retiring females occasionally find life with everyone else having kittens and not them too much to bear and often thrive in a more stable, less competitive environment.
Any of these cats will adjust well to a secure and loving pet home. Life in a home where there are breeding cats, is perpetually changing, personalities change with each change of circumstances. The hierarchy is being frequently challenged. None  of these stresses exist in a one or two cat home. With the exception of lions cats in the wild choose not to live in large groups, with our breeding for health program, we continue to be forced to live with higher cat numbers than is ideal for either us or the cats. Given that my cats are my passion, and I want to see each of them reach their amazing potential, I am often forced to rehome cats  I would give anything to share our home with.
Because all of our cats are loved pets, they are secure and able to adjust beautifully. The few cats we have sadly had to rehome, have brought great joy to their new families. Although we miss them, we know in each case they are happier in their new homes.

Wisecracks Kaya
BornOctober 11th 2003
Wisecracks Kaya Retired Devon Rex Breeding Queen
Kaya has just celebrated her 5th birthday. We adore her and she has blessed us with many totally engaging, delightful kittens . We have kept three of her offspring to keep up her good work, Belle Canto, Ari Osso and Gusto. Kaya is a very loving intense cat, who would love to have her very own home which she would happily share with a human family. She would be happy inside only, she only hunts MacDonald toys to feed to her now imaginery kittens! She is very vocal. Kaya will only be available to a special family happy to embrace her eccentric ways and keep in touch with us long term.
Yedolem Rip Van Crinkle
Born February 1st 2003
Yedolem Retired Stud Cat Rip Van Crinkle
Crinkle will be 6 years old in February. He has sired the handsome Mac Ram A and deserves to retire and be totally loved and snuggled up in bed with his new people. He will be desexed this month (October 2009) and be ready to go to a home in a couple of months. He is very gentle and lives amicably with two other stud cats. He is very passionate and a big strong boy. Like any cats who leave our home he is only available to an approved home with people willing to keep in touch and love him for who he is. He may accept a female cat but I think he would be best on his own.
Wisecracks Spar Cool
Born August 28th 2008
Retired Devon Rex Variant Queen Wisecracks Spar Cool
Spar Cool just turned a year old and has had her first and only litter of kittens on the 16th of September. She is a beautiful cat, her tabby pattern is stunning. She adores being outside so sadly I cannot insist she is indoors only so would prefer her well away from traffic. She loves smooching all over people, and is very loving and happy with the dogs as well. She will be available to an approved home when she has weaned her kittens.
Wisecracks Gleeman
Born August 28th 2008
Retiring Devon Rex Variant Stud Cat Wisecracks Gleeman
Gleeman is due to become a father for the first time on October 26th 2009. He is the litter mate of Spar Cool, and equally loving and sweet. We would love to see him totally adored and at this stage I believe he would cope with a desexed female cat, as he is very gentle and accepting. At the risk of repeating myself he will only go to a totally amazing home where he will be loved and we will be kept up to date with his progress. He will be desexed wen his kittens are born, if we are lucky enough to be blessed with a suitable kitten to take his place
