Devon Rex Variants (Hybrids)
Why
The Need For Outcrossing To Produce Devon Rex Variant Kittens?

|
Devon Rex
variants are kittens produced as a result of our breeding for health program.
See
Health Issues.
The Devon Rex gene
is recessive, therefore only kittens who receive two of these genes will
actually be born
with the extreme Devon
Rex features and the curly coat. The kittens who receive only one Devon
Rex gene will
be born and remain
straight coated. While these kittens do not sport the curls of their siblings,
they are blessed
with the large ears
and eyes of the Devons |

|
The Variants are also
very packed full of the Devon Rex character. We love and raise both the
Devon Rex and
the Devon Rex Variants
with the same love and attention. |

|
These hardy little
cats, like their curly siblings come in all colours and coat patterns.
Although the Devon
Rex Variants kittens are very charming and beautiful, we do not ask the
full cost of a Devon
Rex kitten for them.
All of our kittens
are N.Z.C.F. registered, regardless of what coats they are born with, all
cats are born equal
but some more curly
than others! |
